Protein: Myths and Truths

Protein plays a big role in an athlete's diet. It helps with recovery and rebuilding muscle so that we can be stronger and faster and keeps our body working properly down to nitty gritty enzymes and cell functions. I've found that athletes often have a lot of misconceptions around protein. Some go all in and are over focused on the importance of protein over other nutrients, while others don't emphasize it enough drinking their post-workout protein shake and never giving it any other thought. Here are a few of the myths I've heard along the way and the actual science backing (or not backing) each.
